White Cottage
Dating back to C16 or earlier, White Cottage is set in a riverside retreat in rural position nestling adjacent to a ford close to Brocket Hall on the River Lea.
Sally has transformed the Garden into magical place, where trinkets and quirky objects from her decades of travelling and collecting are to be discovered. There are tucked away seating areas and epic sweeping trees that line the riverbank. The River Lea widens and forms the boundary of this wildlife haven which could be a setting for 'Wind in the Willows'.
In the morning you will be photographing in and around White Cottage’s garden. Here you will have the opportunity to roam and discover the delights of this garden and photograph a beautiful model dressed in “Pre-Raphaeilte” style in this setting.

In the afternoon
Ayot St Peter’s Church
This church is not open to the public so we are very privileged to gain access to photograph is wonders and delights.
Ayot St Peter is little more than a hamlet west of Welwyn. Saint Peter’s is a beautiful and important Arts and Crafts church. Saint Peter’s is one of only thirteen Hertfordshire churches featured in the book “England’s Thousand Best Churches” by Simon Jenkins (published in 1999).
This little building, standing in a rural corner of central Hertfordshire, is the work of the late Victorian architect, John Pollard Seddon (1827-1906), an artist of real ability and sustained invention and St Peter’s is the embodiment of Seddon’s belief in the Unity of the Arts.
